Very cool vintage Hevi Duty Electric Unit Muffle Furnace Type 051-RT. This old lab furnace was most likely made in the late 1940′s or early 1950′s. The manufacturers tag lists volts 230, watts 1150, max temp 1850F, serial number 80347. The power cord had been cut off. We attached our own temporary power cord to test the unit. The first time the unit powered on and only reached a temperature of 200f. We tried a few days later and the unit reached about 550f. Even though it powers on and partially works we can not guarantee that it will continue to work at all. This is a great vintage item for the collector or for the restoring crowd. Very heavy unit weighs almost 70 pounds and measures approximately 20″ tall by 17″ wide by 17 deep. Please use all photographs to determine condition.
