Bonjour de Bourgogne ;. Antique French medical instrument, Dr. Eguisier’s gynecological Irrigator, Large model, 19th century for Cabinet of curiosities. Obstetrical gynecological irrigator invented by Dr. First patented in 1842. The device consists of a cylindrical metal reservoir of around 1 liter, in which a piston moves. At the top of the reservoir is a winding key to operate it. A tap is attached to the base of the device, to which a tube with an extended cannula can be fitted. The cylinder is stamped: “Véritable Irrigateur système du Docteur Eguisier, N°LF 3, Nouveau brevet de perfectionnement S. G. D. G”, surrounded by 2 circles “Médaille d’argent 1er prix”. This strange medical instrument linked to feminine hygiene of a bygone era will find its place in a curiosity cabinet, a collection of antique medical equipment, or simply in a vintage setting. Approximate size: Height 26 cm (10 1/4). Diameter : 10.5 cm (4 1/8). Weight : 1.520 kg. All our items come from France. They are all used. Expect to find signs of normal use and wear commensurate especially for antiques.

Nice vintage machine would make great display or prop. Has the original bottles with original rubber corks (forgot to put one back on before snapping photos) Hose from bottle to compressor needs replacement. Two anesthesia masks plus anesthesia tube and 2 anesthesia hooks. Extra wheels for base. Machine easily removes from base but sits perfectly on base because was made for that. Machine untested as the plug at end of cord is cracked and should bre repaired before testing.
A fantastic antique, Victorian era Magneto electric machine. Original paper label in the lid. It has a decorative embossed flywheel, & original crank handle. The entire thing comes boxed in a mahogany case – Near the lock is a hollowed our disc in the wood – presumably something should fit there. A nice collectable piece of medical history. Pre-owned antique – obviously has signs of use and wear, commensurate with age. Measures 10″ x 4.5″ and 4.5 tall.
