Vintage Sargent-Welch (Van de GRAAF type) Electrostatic Generator. Measures 29″ tall, and has a 9″ round metal ball. Ball has a couple do dings. Cord is good, and it will need a new belt. Motor runs fine – quiet running. Glass is worn and chipped where pulley goes, see picture no. 6 but they make 2 sets of grooves so that solved the problem for a place for pulley to set. Has 115 volts, 50 watts and 60 HZ. Item shows wear for age and use and is not a item for everyday use. Do not know if it will make your hair stand up. Great vintage science piece for the collector!
