CARL ZEISS VINTAGE MICROSCOPE MODEL 2355 MADE IN GERMANY PARTS ONLY. CARL ZEISS 2355 VINTAGE CAMERA MICROSCOPE PARTS ONLY 1341490 MET LAB 1979. This listing is for a very cool vintage Carl Zeiss Microscope. It is a model 2355 and was produced in Germany in the 1970′s. This is a very rare item and appears to have all its parts. The scope has a German power cord attached to two different light bulbs on one side. The other side has a rotateable spindle with 6 different scope lenses. The lenses are marked as 10x, 25x, 60x, 10-1,25-1, and 60-1. There is a sticker marked operational check dated 4/14/78 with identification number 1341490 written on it. This is definitely a high end well made piece of equipment, and would make a great addition to any science, microscope, or industrial collection, and is definitely a great conversation starter. There is no markings on this item to indicate who it was made by, which makes me think it was not something that was mass produced. Not sure of a date either, but i’d estimate it to be 50s or 60s, definitely not a new one, and if you take a look at the ones they make now, you can tell its age. This item is not in perfect condition, but it is in really good condition for its age, and priced accordingly. Item shows some wear throughout, consistent with age. Only shows one area that appears to have an attempt at fixing a crack, shows some minor cracks and chips to the paint throughout. The head is missing one pin (currently has one) so it is not as sturdy as it could be, but thats an easy fix. This is a great item for any collector, and at this price, it will not last long so if it catches your eye, i’d jump on it! I looked for some type of name or markings but I don’t know enough about these things to find anything. Came from an older gentleman that refurbished used ophthalmology equipment and wanted to retire (this does not mean it works perfectly). Thick and thin glass with metal frames. It looks like this set is definitely missing a couple of lenses so please look closely at the pictures! Would be great to add to someone’s collection or if you are into Steampunk you could make some cool stuff with these. I try my best to describe everything as completely as possible.
