Up for sale is a set of 3 vintage OHAUS triple beam balance scales. Two of them have stainless steel bodies and balances while the other has beige plastic. The plastic one states that it has a 2610g (5.75 pound) capacity, and the steel ones appear identical in that aspect, although one of the steel scales has an additional balance that may add to its capacity (see in pictures). The steel ones also feature the company’s logo under the plate. Condition: They all work, but have not been tested for accuracy. They all have some minor stains and scratches from use, but there does not appear to be any major damage. Here is a legendary Heine Phase Contrast condenser by Leitz Wetzlar. What makes it so special, is its unique design which technically provides three different types of illumination (Phase Contrast, Bright Field and Dark Field) with a twist of a single knob. If you are looking at this listing, its is very likely that you already know what this is. The Condenser is in clean condition and does not seem to have any physical damage or signs of disassemble attempts, however there is one thing that requires disclosure: light-cone forming black paint on top of the piston lens shows some degradation and may need your attention. For what its worth, I have compared image quality obtained with this condenser to an other Heine condenser without any defects and could not tell a difference. Please also note that this device does not come with high aperture oil immersion cap. To compensate for that, Im including all original Phase Telescope Lens which normally is a part of complete Heine Phase Contrast System. ON THE CAP OF THE FAR LEFT CONTAINER, INSCRIBED IS BAUSH & LOMB OPITICAL CO. AND NEW YORK, N. IN THE CENTER, IT SAYS EMERSION OIL AND INSIDE IS A TINY GLASS STOPPERED BOTTLE CONTAINING THE OIL. THE OTHER THREE BRASS SCREW TOP CONTAINERS ARE EMPTY. THEY HAVE THE SAME B & L LABELING BUT IN THE CENTER IS 1/12 , 1/6, 2/3. THE PULL OUT DRAWER IN THE TOP OF THE BOX HAS A GLASS SLIDE IN IT. OBJECTIVES ARE ALL MARKED BAUSH AND LOMB ARE ARE THE SAME STRENGTHS THAT THE 3 BRASS CONTAINERS HAVE ON THEIR TOP. THERE IS A NUMBER BUTTON ON THE BACK OF THE SCOPE (AS SEEN IN THE PICTURES) THAT HAS THE NUMBER 27160. THE STAGE HAS A HINGED SLIDE HOLDER AND A GUIDE ON THE LEFT OF THE STAGE. THIS SCOPE HAS A MECHANISM TO MOVE THE SLIDE UP AND SIDE TO SIDE WITH MARKINGS IN MM’S FOR RECORDING AN EXACT PLACE OF AN OBJECT. BEHIND THE FOCUS WHEEL IS A ROUND WHEEL THAT TURNS AND IS MARKED IN MM’S FROM 0 TO 100. ON THE VERY TOP OF THIS WHEEL IS A SCREW THAT HAS PATENT FEB 16 1897. BELOW THE STAGE IS A CONDENSOR LENS AND AN IRIS DIAPHRAM. BELOW THAT IS A REVERSABLE MIRROR WITH ONE SIDE BEING MAGNIFIED. THE ONLY ISSUE I SEE IS A PIECE OF TRIM OFF THE BOX IS MISSING ABOVE WHERE THE DOOR SHUTS.
