Zeiss Inverted Polarizing Ww2 Era Vintage Microscope Mikroskop Neofluar Lens

Very rare Zeiss inverted microscope with 4 O. Episcopic objectives, in very good condition for year (I believe 1939 from serial number). Comes with 5 eyepieces, a polarizing filter, transformer and box. Objectives, 4x 0.10,10x 0.25,25x 0.45 and a top of the range Neofluar 63x 0.90. All glass clean and unscratched, the microscope gives very nice clear images with nice contrast of the micro details of my large fossils for example when placed on the hand-adjustable stage that swivels in xy directions. I have lubed the sliding square frame, which shows some cosmetic wear on it’s surface. Otherwise all in very good condition, the focussing is smooth with no damage and all chrome very good. The illuminating tube that I show detached in one photo has an internal diaphragm that can be adjusted to match the second diaphragm in the baseplate shown on the same photo. To obtain polarized light the polarizing disc shown in the accessory stand is placed on top of the baseplate in the circular recess, which optically puts it between the 2 diaphragms, and can be turned using finger and thumb thanks to the 2 recessed grooves on either side of the baseplate upper surface, when turning this clearly shows a polarizing effect namely lightening /darkening of the subject with increased contrast, so I presume there is a second polarizing filter in the microscope body. The light source is in good working order. The item “ZEISS INVERTED POLARIZING WW2 ERA VINTAGE MICROSCOPE MIKROSKOP NEOFLUAR LENS” is in sale since Sunday, November 11, 2018.
