Welcome First of all such original Russian/USSR cathetometer made in LOMO the leader in optical instruments during USSR, is rare, difficult to find and not so frequently met. It is used to observe objects from large distance and produced/made probably at 50 S – 60 S. Cathetometers are used for the accurate measurement of vertical and horizontal distances (or displacements), especially where close observation is either difficult or dangerous. In fact I have never seen such to be offered especialy this earliest version KM-6. With two other words-If you have luck after decades of searching you may be lucky to have some. It is as difficult to find as you are looking for the shoe of Cinderella. Of my opinion it is in good working condition with not any dramatic damages to report. No matter this the inspected objects can be very well seen. Other measuring optical tube is clean of dust and the green diagram can me readable fine! Please examine colse up and detailed pictures to judge /observe better its condition. No matter all mentioned above it is one really bijou of the midd 20th Century Russian optical scientific instruments industry. And not finally:It is amazing “LOMO” Quality which can be found in every detail! Ideal for collection, arranging for some atr design project or displaying in Museum. Has original for the “LOMO” brand mark on its plate and the mode inscripted KM-6 -pictured close up and detailed. It is not tested or calibrated and I sell it more for decorative purpose, collection or displaying. Approxymately 75cm/29,5 tall. Approxymately 35×35 (13,7 “X 13,7 “) is its base.
