Antique French medical instrument, Dr. Eguisier’s gynecological Irrigator 19th c

Bonjour de Bourgogne ;. Antique French medical instrument, Dr. Eguisier’s gynecological Irrigator, 19th century for Cabinet of curiosities. Obstetrical gynecological irrigator invented by Dr. First patented in 1842. The device consists of a cylindrical metal reservoir of around 500 ml, in which a piston moves. At the top of the reservoir is a winding key to operate it. A tap is attached to the base of the device, to which a tube with an extended cannula can be fitted. The cylinder is stamped: “Irrigateur système du Docteur Eguisier, N°2 – Marque de Fabrique”, surrounded by 2 caducei. This strange medical instrument linked to feminine hygiene of a bygone era will find its place in a curiosity cabinet, a collection of antique medical equipment, or simply in a vintage setting. Approximate size: Height 22.5 cm (9). Diameter : 8.5 cm (3 3/8). Weight : 1.050 kg. All our items come from France. They are all used. Expect to find signs of normal use and wear commensurate especially for antiques.

At the top of the reservoir is a winding key to operate it. A tap is attached to the base of the device, to which a tube with an extended cannula can be fitted. The cylinder is stamped: “Véritable Irrigateur système du Docteur Eguisier, N°LF 3, Nouveau brevet de perfectionnement S. G. D. G”, surrounded by 2 circles “Médaille d’argent 1er prix”. This strange medical instrument linked to feminine hygiene of a bygone era will find its place in a curiosity cabinet, a collection of antique medical equipment, or simply in a vintage setting. Approximate size: Height 26 cm (10 1/4). Diameter : 10.5 cm (4 1/8). Weight : 1.520 kg. All our items come from France. They are all used. Large vintage French anatomical human model 29 tall with skin, skeleton and organs Probably circa 1940s – 1950s Removable front, plus removable organs. The liver has some color loss. Sorry I left out his guts when I put him back together. Obviously I’m not a doctor. But they are included. The hook latch on top that holds the front onto the back has been reinforced with epoxy. Other than that, the model is all original condition. Marked Made In France on the wood stand.
