Vintage Leitz Microscope lot. Includes all that is pictured, clips, objectives, eyepiece cases, holders and wood box. All are in good used condition. The wood box does have scuffs and scratches from storage and measures approximately 12-1/8″X9-1/2×3-1/4″. 4 of the Objectives have holders which they screw into. 1 of the bases are stuck in the holder (see last picture), which I believe the set screw is tighten down too tight and I do not have a screw driver small enough to loosen it. The objective markings read as follows. All say Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Germany. P C 16.5:1 215/- A0.040 (mounted to screw in holder). 170/- P 3.5/0.10. Vintage Bausch & Lomb Compound Microscope w/ Eye Pieces. Objective Lenses & Case. Circa late 1930s to 1940s. Interesting about this case is that it has a snap lock – However there is no key. Screws are all present three are screwed into the bottom of the lock and the other two are in the slide case. It appeared as though there was previously something in the box that the person who owned it prior to me wanted to get a hold of.. Not trying to sound mysterious but it was a little strange. Case is in great shape- very sound. I will pack the inside of the case with tissue paper to make sure that nothing moves in transit. From a large collection of curiosities. Questions welcome Ill do my best to answer them, but please be aware, Im no scientist. My understanding is that the microscope works perfectly. My daughter is a premed student and has used it.
