This is a vintage or antique Iron Lung. It originally was used in Community Bailey Hospital in Chamberlain, SD and when it was retired it was in Old West Museum in Oacoma, SD. It was last used in the 1950′s. I don’t think it would work now but really have no knowledge of this item. Only 3 hours from Mt. Rushmore and located in central SD on I-90 by the Missouri River.
