Interesting piece, for learning or unique vintage decor. Sherwood Medical Industries started creating these Laryngoscopic Mankins in 1967. This looks to be in great condition; the power cord is intact and the light works (pictured). The drawer houses transparency slides to insert for viewing without the gagging of a human subject. Slides are labeled and numbered. Psycho-surrealism, Fantastic Planet, 1970′s, 1960′s, strange, mad scientist.

1950′s army issue, Sanoid metal first aid box. Given to my late uncle when he joined the army. His name is still stickered on the tin (this could be removed). Rare to find the box itself, but this also contains most of the contents as well. Includes 10 off No. 7 Plain Lint, Sterilised Finger Dressing (9 are new/unopened, 1 box is empty), 1 off No. 14 Medium Plain, Sterilisied Wound Dressing, new/unopened, 4 off No. 15 Large Plain, Sterilisied Wound Dressing, new/unopened 4 off Iodine Ampoule tubes, again new/unopened and 1 off BPC White Open Wove Surgical Bandages, 1 in x 6 yds, again new/unopened.

Original vintage catalogue in english/german/spanish language: “CHIRON TUTTLINGEN” Issued by well-known company manufacturing, among other things, medical and surgical equipment. Condition report: catalogue is overall in decent condition, shows some tears and creasing, also shows some yellowing and stains, complete with all pages (totally 562 pages). Total measurements: when folded approx. 30×21,5cm weight approx. The Chiron Werke were founded on June 18, 1921, by Gottfried Schnell and Otto Staebler under the name Fabriken feinmechanischer Apparate und Chirurger Instrumente GmbH. Six months later, the company received its current name, Chiron. In Greek mythology, this refers to a demigod with the shape of a centaur, who was considered to have great dexterity. This name was chosen to challenge the then-existing company Aesculapius, because in Greek mythology, Chiron is the teacher of Asclepius. In 1940, the Chiron Works moved to the site on Talstrasse, where they remain today. During the Second World War, Chiron increasingly became an armaments company, producing aircraft stampings for Junkers and Messerschmitt AG. The Chiron Group SE has been part of the Hoberg & Driesch Group since 1957. It consists of the Chiron plants based in Tuttlingen and Neuhausen ob Eck, as well as its branch locations in France, Italy, Poland, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Russia, India, China, and the USA. Vintage Welch Allyn Otoscope with Bakelite Case. Also included is other vintage medical equipment. Otoscope is in excellent condition, showing just light wear. I have not tested it but battery compartment is clean and corrosion free. Case has a previous owners name on it. The previous owner was a doctor practiced from the 1960s to 1990s. Tycos BP Cuff (broken hose), Fleischer Stethoscope, and everything else pictured. All in good shape. Everything will be carefully packed.
