Up for sale is a vintage, working American Optical/Spencer Lens binocular microscope with separate power supply. Microscope has 4 Spencer Lens objectives with the following powers. 10X, 20X, 44X, and 90X Apochromat. The two eyepieces are AO 15X W. The AO power supply has 5 settings and plugs into a standard wall outlet. A cord from the the back of the microscope plugs into the power supply. With the power supply “on, ” illumination can also be controlled by moving a lever at the bottom of the scope. All knobs, which control the positioning of the stage, work. A clear, lightweight, plastic dust cover is included. The top of the microscope is detachable and is held in place by a set screw (see photo 8). This is easy and takes less than a minute. There is an area on the front of the microscope below the AO insignia that is lighter in color and slightly tacky (see photo 5). There are a few small spots where the paint is missing. The housing of the power supply has scuffs, which are more noticeable when viewed at an angle. Overall condition is good+. All photos are of the exact items you will receive.
