I picked up an vintage Oliver sun hat that was from the early 1950′s era and this was with that at from a local estate which is why I’m thinking its from the same time period. The outside is painted red with white X on the top that is also painted. Speaking of the X – it looks like it was once a larger sized X but was painted smaller as I can see the outside from the previous X (see pics of what I’m talking about). I also noticed 1 rivit missing as well in the back. Inside the hat on the visor, its marked Fibre Metal. From what I can gather… Fibre Metal made of a lot of miners hard hats. My goal is your satisfaction. The only exception is with the country of Italy.
