I believe this is used to determine the liquid level in an oil well. It has quite a bit of age to it. The company was incorporated in 1953. This may or may not work. It has some odd attachment for a battery, which I do not have. The case is very sturdy with leather handles. It is very heavy for the size – 46 pounds. It measures 17″ x 17″ x 11.
