Chemist Sundries, Glassware, Surgical Dressings, Fancy Goods, Veterinary Appliances For sale we have a scarce illustrated catalogue, published in 1939, and with a price list for all sorts of medical appliances, surgical equipment and dressing, glassware and chemist sundries, produced by Ayrton, Saunders & Co of Liverpool, whose main building was on Hanover Street. Ayrton Saunders & Co were a wholesale and manufacturing chemists, who were founded in 1868 in premises on Hanover Street in Liverpool city centre. The firm expanded and took premises in Park Lane (Liverpool) and Prenton (Birkenhead) as well as a branch in the Potteries. In the end the firm had to contract and the branches were closed, as did the fine building on Hanover Street, which still stands today. BOOK DESCRIPTION Hardback book with stiff blue card covers, tall 8vo, 334 pages, profusely illustrated with all sorts of equipment for chemists etc. Almost every page has several examples of surgical, medical and chemist’s equipment. CONDITION In very good clean condition throughout. The binding is very good. No names or writing to the book. Pages very clean throughout. Overall in ecxellent condition.
