They have never been used and have been stored carefully since then. I cannot detect any damage from long time storage. They are not only precise but are beautiful. I do not know how to properly test this microscope. I can say that it appears to function properly regarding all movements/adjustments. I also can say that it appears to have all of its lenses, maybe apart from one for the top. I can also say that It will need to be cleaned up. Please ask me questions before purchasing this item.
