Vintage Sargent-Welch Scientific Co. Anatomical Mini Human Male Torso Model RARE

Vintage Sargent-Welch Scientific Co. Anatomical Mini Human Male Torso Model. Extremely Rare and Hard-to-Find! This medical/health teaching tool was rescued from being discarded at an elementary school several years ago. It was no longer included in the curriculum and kept in storage for several decades. There is no date on it, but judging from its appearance, construction, and craftsmanship, Id assume it is from the late 1940s/1950s. It is made from a lightweight material, possibly clay, and hand painted with exquisite detail. This model was intended to aide in the understanding of the bodys main organs and the cutaway on the males torso contains the brain, lungs, liver, stomach, and intestinal system. The six pieces are detachable and held in place with inner magnets. Although it does show some signs of minor wear (contact rubs, chips and edge wear/paint loss mainly on the removable organs), the imperfections are minor. On the rear of the gray base, the letters CMG 1 was written in permanent marker. Overall, for its age, it is in fantastic condition and the paint is glossy and vivid like new. Its ready to be displayed in any of a variety of collections. 18 high, 9 wide, and 5 deep. 7 pieces: torso, brain, lungs, liver, stomach, and intestinal system. 95111 Human Torso Miniature. Vintage SOMSO Male Muscle Figure Half Natural Size Anatomical Model 27 Parts

SOMSO about 1/2 natural size anatomical muscle model in very good condition. Model separates altogether into 27 parts: cranium, brain (2), thoracic and abdominal wall, halves of the lung (2), heart (2), liver, stomach, duodenum, small and large intestine, right arm, left arm with four removable muscles, muscles of the leg (9), body. SOMSO models are made in Germany by highly qualified and skilled craftsmen, assembled and painted entirely by hand so that each is a unique work of art. Height approximately 82 cm x width approximately 49 cm. Custom-made solid teak wall mount base, approximately 12 inches deep x 12 inches high x 3 3/8 inches wide with slight wear.
