This vintage medical equipment sterilizer / autoclave is from the 1940s. It measures 8-1/2″ long x 3-1/4 ” wide x 3-3/4 high overall including the lid. This unit has has a heavy duty electrical cord which is in very good condition. This cord has an on and off switch. There are brackets on the inside that keep the tray level as it is raised and lowered into the bath. Nice nickel plating with some tarnishing. When plugged in, the unit heats up nicely. It weighs approximately 7 pounds. This vintage small, working Prometheus electric instrument sterilizer was used in a podiatry/chiropodist practice between 1946 and 1965.
