Wonderful vintage SOMSO eyeball model c. These models were made in Germany and completely hand painted with great detail. This one measures 8″ tall with the stand, the eye being approximately 3.3/4″ in diameter. It is marked on the base’SOMSO’ along with their logo. Also, on the underside, it is marked,’D. 1644830′ and another smaller mark with the numbers’66′ and’37′? The condition is quite good for its age, and I believe it is complete. Has some small surface dings, but nothing major. However, I believe the eyeball has been re-attached at some point. This is a medical grade, educational skeleton by Rudiger Anatomy. While this looks and feels real it is NOT. This particular skeleton was used at Clemson University. These skeletons have been in production for the last 30 years and have dominated the industry. All of their skeletons are cast from real human skeleton bones. They are all specially selected specimens providing each model with an enormous amount of detail that is not present on others in the industry. This life-like model is sure not to disappoint. Sadly, I do not have the head to the skeleton. But, he does appear to have all of his parts. He does need a little bit of love and attention in being fully articulated once again.
