Vintage Antique Picker X Ray Machine Rare Find X-Ray Doctor XRay

Up for sale is a very rare Picker XRay machine. We have not tested fully but we did power up the unit and it did power up. Harvey Picker (December 8, 1915 March 22, 2008) was an American businessman, educator, inventor, and philanthropist. He was the founder, along with his wife, Jean, of the Boston-based Picker Institute, whose goal was to promote patient-centered healthcare. Picker’s father, James, founded Picker X-ray, which was acquired by General Electric Co. Of England in 1981, which produced air-dropped X-ray labs for the Army in World War II and the Korean War. The younger Harvey led the company into such pioneering fields as cobalt treatment for cancer and ultrasound and nuclear imaging diagnostics. He worked briefly in the diplomatic service, taught political science at Colgate University. Picker believed that the American health care system was technologically and scientifically outstanding, but overall was not sensitive to patients’ concerns and their comfort. Thus, in 1986, they founded the Picker Institute a not-for-profit organization dedicated to developing a patient-centered approach to healthcare and in 2000 founded the Picker Institute Europe. Jean Picker, who died in 1990, served as a U. Delegate to the United Nations and was a journalist for Life Magazine. The Picker Institute ceased operations in January 2013. This is a vintage resusci CPR doll. She is in excellent vintage condition. She is anatomically correct, has molded hair, clear eyes. These are rare and very difficult to find in this condition. There are a few very small marks in her hair, hardly noticeable. She looks very much like a baby. A pacifier or bottle fit into her mouth. She could easily be reborn. This baby will go home with her diaper, pacifier, and bottle. This is a big, heavy baby and will require a large box. Vintage Staco Science Teaching 3-D Functional Model – ANIMAL CELL 18×24 + Box. This unit is gently used and works great. It is in great cosmetic condition. Box shows shelf wear on corners/edges, brown tape and writing. Made by Staco, Science Teaching Aids Division. This is probably a replica but not sure on the date it is was made. Comes as shown in the pics. Please check out my pics so you will know exactly what you are getting. Functional Model Animal Cell. These large models, in relief form, show every known organelle and inclusion of these two important cells. Heavy plastic vacuum-formed sheets molded to 20 structures are included in the animal cell. All parts are identified by accompanying key card. This came from a retired science teacher. I have some other similar items running at this time if you want to check them out. This is a great item to add to your collection. This is the two shippers that we use.
