HARTNACK POTSDAM HIGH GRADE MICROSCOPE WITH WOODEN BOX circa 1870. Hartnack as an innovator (Bradbury, 1967) whose instruments are highly regarded by microscope historians (Moe, 2004). Edmund Hartnack was born on April 9, 1826, and died on February 9, 1891. From about 1835, Oberhäuser worked alone, achieving a reputation for quality. In 1857 he went into partnership with his nephew Edmund Hartnack (Oberhäuser & Hartnack, Place Dauphine 21, Paris). You are looking at an absolutely beautiful Vintage Oak Exam (Gynecologist) Table. You WILL NOT find one in better shape or as beautiful. The stirrups are made if copper and the inside shelving is milk glass (remove able) on one side and glass shelves on the other. The drawers slide through on both sides making it accessible from both sides of the exam table. The legs go up individually or together as well as the back which goes up multiple levels. It is manufactured by the Perfection Chair Co. In Indianapolis, Indiana and is extremely heavy. Please ask questions if I have failed to include anything. Thank you for looking and have a great week. Ive owned several, but this is the first Ive had that is this interesting. There are multiple dissected sections that have been hinged so they can be opened and closed for examination. You can take the top of the skull off, then the jaw and finally separate the remaining portion into two halves. If you look closely, you will see that even the right front tooth has been dissected. Overall very good condition. All springs, snaps and screws are present and secure. This is a used/vintage/antique item. It is not perfect. It does show some signs of wear. This is a really interesting Incubator. The brass hardware on the front says; Made by CS & E company author H. Thomas company Laboratory apparatus and reagents Philadelphia USA 110 v Amp 1/2 type 11 serial number 15625. This Antique Oak incubator measures on the outside 17″ tall, it’s 13 3/4″ wide and 13 3/4 deep. It has a rack/shelf and a heating element. A glass inner door. All the hardware works. Everything seems to be intact. When you plug a lightbulb in the inside it turns on and it seems that it turns off when the temperature in the inside of the cabinet reaches a certain temperature. I found a similar one that was made around 1917 it. Overall it’s in great shape for its age the top has a few spots that are raising as can be seen in the pictures.
