This microscope is in about as good of condition as you will find. It is coming from the estate of a local doctor where it was been used by him in med school at Columbia. Vintage GYSI ARTICULATOR Vintage Dental Equipment Dentistry Made in the USA. It is marked GYSI and SIMPLEX on the top. The back is marked: THE DENTISTS SUPPLY of NEW YORK. This item includes manual and original box. The GYSI “Simplex” is an “Average Value” instrument; that is, the rotation centers, condylar guides, the incisal guide are fixed to “average” settings. The “Simplex” articulator was the average value version of the GYSI “adaptable”, a highly adjustable instrument produced in 1912. Gysi felt compelled to produce this instrument because of competition in the market place and dentists’ demands for simplicity. Gysi believed that with the “Simplex” the dentist could provide efficient denture service without the need for “scientific equipment” in about 80% of the cases. Gysi suggested that the “protrusive” angle of the “Simplex” incisal guide table could be modified by the use of modeling compound and sheet metal. Apparently, an industrious person modified the lower cast holder to accept a Wadsworth adjustable incisal guide table. It had a horizontal protrusive guide with adjustable lateral wings. This also illustrates the diverse concepts that dentists had regarding the function of the incisal pin and guide. Windeln für Erwachsene mit Plastikfolie. Aufgrund einer Teil-Lagerauflösung abzugeben. Größe: medium für einen Hüftumfang von ca. 70 – 110 cm. Aber schon älter (vermutlich aus den späten 90er Jahren). Besonderheiten: Außenhaut ist aus fester Plastikfolie. Es kann also verdächtig rascheln. Dies kann gewünschte Erziehungseffekte herbeiführen! Wie bei Tena früher üblich ist der Bereich, an dem die Klebestreifen aufgebracht werden mit einer besonders starken Folie versehen. Dies ermöglich ein mehrfaches Öffnen/Verschließen der Windel. Verschlossen werden die Windelslips mit 4 Klebestreifen. Produkt ist nicht mehr im Handel erhältlich. Nicht auszuschließen ist jedoch, dass die Windeln. Aufgrund des Alters Stockflecken haben können. Up for sale today is this vintage black Leitz Wetzlar Ortholux Microscope, with a box of misc. Please forgive me, I’m not an expert in these. I took in several vintage microscopes, but I just don’t have the knowledge on how to describe all the technical details. This microscope is in excellent working condition. The scope does have some signs of wear, but not much. Comes with a 4 head objective, and all objectives are Leitz Wetzlar. Also included is a vintage wooden box, with several extra parts and accessories. If you look at picture #9 you’ll see several lens holders. They are just the cases, and no lens or objectives are in those. The box does have some noticeable wear on the top and left side, but still a neat piece nonetheless. Overall condition is good! I did not attempt to clean the unit but we did plug it in and test it and it still fires up and works great. The knob moves fine and so does the other button that pushes in. They are a little wobbly but still very much functional. Theres a dent on the top near the left side of the unit which you can see in the photos.
