Bonjour de Bourgogne ;. Antique French medical instrument, Dr. Eguisier’s gynecological Irrigator, 19th century for Cabinet of curiosities. Obstetrical gynecological irrigator invented by Dr. First patented in 1842. The device consists of a cylindrical metal reservoir of around 500 ml, in which a piston moves. At the top of the reservoir is a winding key to operate it. A tap is attached to the base of the device, to which a tube with an extended cannula can be fitted. The cylinder is stamped: “Irrigateur système du Docteur Eguisier, N°2 – Marque de Fabrique”, surrounded by 2 caducei. This strange medical instrument linked to feminine hygiene of a bygone era will find its place in a curiosity cabinet, a collection of antique medical equipment, or simply in a vintage setting. Approximate size: Height 22.5 cm (9). Diameter : 8.5 cm (3 3/8). Weight : 1.050 kg. All our items come from France. They are all used.
