Here is a vintage medical device called a Prostatic Short Wave Electrode. I assume that it was used for prostate stimulation and would have been attached to a power supply (not included). It comes in its box which measures about 10 1/2″ and the wand measures about 10″ plus cord. See photos for overall condition and ask any questions you may have.

Antique hand drill from mid to late 1800s made of plated steel, it has a spiral Archimedes center twist with a pivot at the top to drill, the handle unscrews for bit storage but it has no bits. Measure 8.5 long and works great still, such a cool simple mechanism and made so beautifully too. See photos for the exact item you will receive.

Bonjour de Bourgogne ;. Antique French medical instrument, Dr. Eguisier’s gynecological Irrigator, 19th century for Cabinet of curiosities. Obstetrical gynecological irrigator invented by Dr. First patented in 1842. The device consists of a cylindrical metal reservoir of around 500 ml, in which a piston moves. At the top of the reservoir is a winding key to operate it. A tap is attached to the base of the device, to which a tube with an extended cannula can be fitted. The cylinder is stamped: “Seul véritable Irrigateur du Docteur Eguisier, T2M, Marque de Fabrique” Medal 1849, Awarded 1867. This strange medical instrument linked to feminine hygiene of a bygone era will find its place in a curiosity cabinet, a collection of antique medical equipment, or simply in a vintage setting. Approximate size: Height 22.5 cm (9). Diameter : 8.5 cm (3 3/8). Weight : 0.845 kg. All our items come from France. They are all used. Expect to find signs of normal use and wear commensurate especially for antiques.

This is an antique medical instrument called Carbolic Steam Sprayer that was used in operating rooms in the 1880s It was used to sterilize the air. The maker of the instrument is unknown. This device, used in operating theatres in the 1870s and 1880s, filled the air with a pungent, yellow mist of an antiseptic called carbolic acid. British surgeon Joseph Lister invented it, hoping it would kill airborne bacteria, reducing the chance of infection during surgery. Lister had begun experimenting with carbolic acid in 1865 – applying it directly to wounds, bandages and surgical equipment – after hearing it was used to treat sewage. Infection rates following his operations had dropped dramatically. The spray was less effective than applying carbolic acid directly, and it was unpleasant to use, causing skin and respiratory problems for the surgeons, who were reluctant to use it. However, the benefits of antiseptics were clear, and surgery became much safer. A great piece of Medical equipment history. Measures 9″ tall 4″ diameter and 11-1/2 wide. Does not have the bottle to hold the medicine that gets steamed into the air. Please see photos for details.

Bush dedicated his 45-year career to making arts and culture more accessible in Charlotte-Mecklenburg and throughout the U. He joined ASC in 2000 and served as president from 2014 to 2019.
