Vintage antique Anatomical skeleton pelvis 1850-1900

Antique vintage anatomical skeleton pelvic bone this is from 1850s to 1900 somewhere in there it has had the metal fasteners and stuff added to it to preserve the shape in the consistency of the bones and from what I understand that was done in the 40′s they did that this thing has sat in a box since my great-uncle passed in 1968 I actually inherited this in 2012 it creeped out the rest of my family I always thought it was a really neat piece instead of it collecting dust here at my house I’m hoping that it can be used for medical research purposes or go to a collector or to a good home this is awfully cool I almost hate to part with it but that’s the business I’m in rare and crazy Oddities good luck everyone. Vintage Somso Germany 20.5 Anatomical Torso Educational Medical Model

This is an fabulous first quality vintage 20.5 tall hard plastic anatomical model. Made by the world renowned Somso Company of Germany in the 1960s. The plastic is high quality, durable and strong. It has held up great over the years. The base is marked Somso and the underside says Made in Germany. This model happen to be a young man, although there are not any genitalia to speak of! He is 20.5 tall including the muted green plastic base he stands upon. From shoulder to shoulder he measures 8 wide. He weighs just about 6 lbs. He is beautifully crafted and hand painted in lifelike colors. His eyes are closed in a peaceful repose. Inside his abdomen is a puzzle of seven organs that fit neatly into the cavity. All are finely detailed and numbered. The total number of parts is 9 including his torso, 2 lungs, a two part heart, a lovely and healthy looking liver, a kidney, a stomach and a huge intestine. A spectacular high quality piece worthy of a museum or university. He is beautiful and in very good shape for a 50 something. You will love him! He is in overall excellent shape with very minimal wear. He is missing one of the metal knobs on his lung. Please look at all of the photos for condition. HUGE 34 Antique Vintage Female Anatomy Torso Anatomical Model Rare Medical

There is no markings on this item to indicate who it was made by, which makes me think it was not something that was mass produced. Not sure of a date either, but i’d estimate it to be 50s or 60s, definitely not a new one, and if you take a look at the ones they make now, you can tell its age. This item is not in perfect condition, but it is in really good condition for its age, and priced accordingly. Item shows some wear throughout, consistent with age. Only shows one area that appears to have an attempt at fixing a crack, shows some minor cracks and chips to the paint throughout. The head is missing one pin (currently has one) so it is not as sturdy as it could be, but thats an easy fix. This is a great item for any collector, and at this price, it will not last long so if it catches your eye, i’d jump on it!
