I’m not sure what the original purpose of this very cool 1920s-1930s era scientific equipment. It is most often used when heating solutions, particularly for distillation. The body of the piece is heavy steel and the piece has several adjustment knobs to swivel the lamp & bottle assembly raise it higher and lower and or at an angle. I could find no makers marks on any of the metal assembly. Measurements 7.3/4″ high x 10.1/4″ x 6.5. Weight 5 pounds 12.5 oz.
