Mortician’s Embalming Gravity Flask Antique Medical Equipment Glass Funnel

I’m a funeral director/embalmer and had a display of rare/unique items related to funeral or just oddities. So here it is being offered to you! Approx: 6.25″ wide at rim, 13.5″ tall. Very “thin” chip along rim (see photos). Some bubbles present in glass. A true antique piece! I have some other mortuary items I have that will likely list over time. Interesting random fact- gravity embalming is still employed but in the cadaver/medical side of things. Medical schools use a very different (aka stronger) solution of formaldehyde to have their donated bodies keep.

Rare Unusual ANTIQUE VINTAGE SCIENTIFIC MEDICAL EQUIPMENT LAMP Bottle Flask

I’m not sure what the original purpose of this very cool 1920s-1930s era scientific equipment. It is most often used when heating solutions, particularly for distillation. The body of the piece is heavy steel and the piece has several adjustment knobs to swivel the lamp & bottle assembly raise it higher and lower and or at an angle. I could find no makers marks on any of the metal assembly. Measurements 7.3/4″ high x 10.1/4″ x 6.5. Weight 5 pounds 12.5 oz. VTG Pyrex Conical 2600 m Flat Bottom Flask Boiling Chemistry Antique Glass 100ml

This vintage Pyrex flask is weird, cool, and pretty all at the same time!! Just picture some long stem flowers in red-colored water or picture it as a terrarium! This conical flask is old! The lip has a little curve in it – a beautiful imperfection. Also, notice there are no markings indicating measurements. This flask does have a flat bottom which leads us to believe that you can boil in this flask. Approximate measurements for conical flask. 8.00 inches tall. 9.50 inch diameter base. 1.50 inch diameter opening. Weight: 2 pounds 4 ounces – without packaging. Just because we love you so much, we are throwing in the smaller 100ml flask no. 5643 which is in great condition with no chips or cracks.
