Not sure the age, looks to me to be fairly vintage, however I really do not know. Nice shiny Chrome body, 2.75 inch diameter face. Original glass lens, not cracked. This was a real find from a very old local school that was closing. This old item was m. Ade from very heavy glass. Complete with Glass Stopper. Perfect for isolating experiments from outside interference. This Bell jar is for use in only Physics Experiments to teach Science. It should be able to withstand amounts of vacuum by common mechanical pumps. Any imperfections found in the bottom of the Bell Jar are air bubbles that occur during the firing of the bell. Every Bell Jar has this to some degree. It is not a damage or a crack. When I inspected this item closely, I noted only one small air bubble. This imperfection should not affect the performance or integrity of these Bell Jars. I would trust this item to withstand and possible vacuum. I just need to liquidate some of my prized vintage pieces of glassware. Please help me liquidate some of my well loved treasures. Vintage Large Pyrex Vacuum Chamber / Degassing Pot – 4 Quart Capacity. One Gallon of liquid will fill the pot to about 2 inches of the top rim. All very heavy thick walled Pyrex Glass with a ground top lid and vacuum port and valve assembly. The top of the lid handle is a finely Ground Glass Valve with the attached Vacuum Port, It can be turned right or left to open or close the Vacuum Port Fitting. There is a chip on the back of the top rim and some other chips throughout but they are just cosmetic and do no affect the operation of a vacuum or lid sealing. The pot and lid weigh 12.5 pounds. Here is a great piece of Vintage Medical / Dental Equipment. Gomco suction aspirator -?? Not entirely sure if its full function, this is not my area of expertise. It comes with the original Chemetron Vacuum Bottle. Everything is in very good condition. The motor comes on when plugged in and it sounds good – cant test any further than that, so there are no guarantees here. Please let me know if you have any questions or need more pictures. What you see is what you get. Needs cleaned and polished. Comes with scuffs, scratches and surface wear. Not sure if it works properly because I don’t know how to test. Vintage CVC Consolidated Vacuum Stainless Steel Bell Jar. For sale- a very large stainless steel Bell Jar. This was part of an old CVC Consolidated Vacuum sputtering system that I have decided to part out. The bell jar is a little over 33 ¼ OD, and a bit over 31 ¾ ID. Which I thought was pretty weird as it was said to be a 30 bell jar, but obviously larger than that. The straight sides of the jar are 35 tall, not including the domed portion or the lift hook. It has one port, not sure if it was a viewing port or for some other attachment. If it was a viewing port the glass is gone, all that covers it is tape. The flange is 6 OD and roughly 4 ID. OK, pay attention, this is where it gets tricky. But if you also want the stainless base plate it sat on it is yours for the asking. So on the one hand all you have to do is say that you want it and its part of the deal. Also included if you want them are the four aluminum mounts that the base plate rested on. Also included the bolts that attached the next piece to the bottom of the base plate. Not included but available are the stainless manifold that fitted under the base plate and the Torr Vac bell jar lift/hoist, model 615700 and the associated hardware to attach it. However, IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it. Just so that we are clear on that, this is an item that has not been tested. If you submit an offer you do so knowing that you cannot return it. In either case it is up to you to decide whether the risk level is acceptable to you, and if not you need to pass on this particular item. The base plate is flat, the bell jar has a grooved base with a rubber gasket in it. Please check out my other listings for more interesting lab, test, and optical equipment. If the functional condition of the item is known it will be stated as such in the listing. Residential deliveries, deliveries that require liftgates, deliveries to the boonies, and deliveries to schools or universities will all be more because it takes longer for the carrier to get the job done.
