The label on the inside of the lid is dated to 2/39, which I I understand indicates it dates from February 1939. The black painted metal trunk measures approximately 17.5″ x 7.5″ x 6.5 and bears the crest of George VI. Was established in the English royal household in 1378 to oversee the building and maintenance of the royal castles and residences. It was reconstituted as a government department in 1851 and became part of the Ministry of Works in 1940.

This is a drawer with medical slides from the 1950′s- 1960′s. There are over 260 slides in it. Some are of autopsy, some show radiology images of the medical conditions of all kinds. The wooden cabinet has plenty of wear, stains, scratches and discoloration as pictured. Please note, that where possible, actual patients names will be over written to make them unrecognizable, even though it has been over 65 years after these images were taken. Very RARE item in excellent condition. Comes with Vial, pamphlet, and box. On the side of the original box, is a sticker that has the name of the pharmacy (BOIES Pharmacy, Turlock, CA). Expiration date on the vile is 1968. The line on the top flap is where it was originally sealed, it is not a crease. I have not seen another one of these, in this condition. The LAST 2 pictures, show the Polio Vaccine Vial and box that is in the Smithsonian Museum collection. As you can see, the one in this listing is in superior condition.
