Up for sale is this vintage craniometer used to measure head diameter. Please review the photos and let me know if you have any questions.
Place Made: London, England. Materials: Leatherette outside, lining black inside, Bakelite instrument itself. 17 cm x W. 9 cm x D. Outside of case was originally stamped on the top in gold lettering Hawksley CRISTA London (now very worn but still legible). Blood measuring device in black has stamped on it in gold writing Hawksley Crista London. SAHLI 100%=14GRAMS Hb PER 100 C. Original glass tube that sits in this device with graduations on it and the Hawksley Sahli name engraved on it. Black round container with a screw off top and a glass tube inside. Small glass tube with a cork in it. One round glass stick that looks like a mixing, or stirring device. Glass and opaque glass tube connected with a rubber tube (good condition) to a smaller glass tube at the other end of it. Written on the tube is Hawksley London 20CMM. Glass tube with a rubber squeezy bulb on the end. The rubber bulb is hard (complete) but it has not perished. This would explain it being Bakelite which was in any event phased out during World War 2. See all 3 photos.

Chemist Sundries, Glassware, Surgical Dressings, Fancy Goods, Veterinary Appliances For sale we have a scarce illustrated catalogue, published in 1939, and with a price list for all sorts of medical appliances, surgical equipment and dressing, glassware and chemist sundries, produced by Ayrton, Saunders & Co of Liverpool, whose main building was on Hanover Street. Ayrton Saunders & Co were a wholesale and manufacturing chemists, who were founded in 1868 in premises on Hanover Street in Liverpool city centre. The firm expanded and took premises in Park Lane (Liverpool) and Prenton (Birkenhead) as well as a branch in the Potteries. In the end the firm had to contract and the branches were closed, as did the fine building on Hanover Street, which still stands today. BOOK DESCRIPTION Hardback book with stiff blue card covers, tall 8vo, 334 pages, profusely illustrated with all sorts of equipment for chemists etc. Almost every page has several examples of surgical, medical and chemist’s equipment.
