The vintage cranial trephine skull bone nickel-plated brass medical instrument was manufactured before 1930 and is a unique piece of medical history. Used for performing trepanation, a surgical procedure involving drilling a hole into the skull, this tool was essential in early medical practices. The nickel-plated brass construction of the instrument adds a touch of elegance and durability to its design, showcasing the craftsmanship of medical tools from a bygone era. Minor surface rust and corosion, fully restorable.

Antique hand drill from mid to late 1800s made of plated steel, it has a spiral Archimedes center twist with a pivot at the top to drill, the handle unscrews for bit storage but it has no bits.
