A 40+ item lot of vintage miscellaneous surgical and gynecological medical tools for the medical history buffs, collectors, and artists. Many of the items are on their original boxes.
This lot contains antique and vintage medical and surgical instruments tools. The time period of manufacture is roughly 1993. The tools are from the categories of antiques, science, medicine, and surgical tools. These tools have been meticulously sourced and are ready for use or display. CERAMIC, STAINLESS STEEL, AND GLASS. I know that it is ceramic because of how it is chipping with age, some pieces are pyrex, one of the measuring utensils is plastic, none of it is broken or cracked, they look used but kept sterilized, and there are two trays under the canisters. Everything you would need to take care of a patient.

Chemist Sundries, Glassware, Surgical Dressings, Fancy Goods, Veterinary Appliances For sale we have a scarce illustrated catalogue, published in 1939, and with a price list for all sorts of medical appliances, surgical equipment and dressing, glassware and chemist sundries, produced by Ayrton, Saunders & Co of Liverpool, whose main building was on Hanover Street. Ayrton Saunders & Co were a wholesale and manufacturing chemists, who were founded in 1868 in premises on Hanover Street in Liverpool city centre. The firm expanded and took premises in Park Lane (Liverpool) and Prenton (Birkenhead) as well as a branch in the Potteries. In the end the firm had to contract and the branches were closed, as did the fine building on Hanover Street, which still stands today. BOOK DESCRIPTION Hardback book with stiff blue card covers, tall 8vo, 334 pages, profusely illustrated with all sorts of equipment for chemists etc. Almost every page has several examples of surgical, medical and chemist’s equipment. We have added quite a lot of images so please have a browse : For anybody interested in, or collecting chemist’s equipment, medical glassware, vererinary appliances, then this book is a fantastic reference. CONDITION In very good clean condition throughout. The binding is very good. No names or writing to the book. Pages very clean throughout. Overall in ecxellent condition. SET OF 3 PRE-1900 LARYNGOLOGICAL SURGICAL TOOLS. Uncertain date of manufacture but certainly 19th century. The mouth spreader and tonsil guillotine are both fully functional. The adenoid guillotine is frozen in its current position and will require some lubrication and/or effort to get the slider to move again. Mouth spreader spans 7 inches, with a maximum 2 inch spread. The two guillotines are each 9 inches in length. Note that the tonsil guillotine is the device with the ring on both ends, while the adenoid guillotine has a ring on one end and a half-circle box on the other. Condition: Each of the tools shows a scattering of tarnish. The tonsil guillotine has three small spots where the chrome has been scraped off the surface of the underlying iron.
