SET OF 3 PRE-1900 LARYNGOLOGICAL SURGICAL TOOLS. Uncertain date of manufacture but certainly 19th century. The mouth spreader and tonsil guillotine are both fully functional. The adenoid guillotine is frozen in its current position and will require some lubrication and/or effort to get the slider to move again. Mouth spreader spans 7 inches, with a maximum 2 inch spread. The two guillotines are each 9 inches in length. Note that the tonsil guillotine is the device with the ring on both ends, while the adenoid guillotine has a ring on one end and a half-circle box on the other. Condition: Each of the tools shows a scattering of tarnish. The tonsil guillotine has three small spots where the chrome has been scraped off the surface of the underlying iron. Up for sale is a rare vintage veterinary dental kit. There are 3 trays total, holding 15 different tools. This came from Germany, as seen by the label in photo #7. If you look at photo #8, you’ll see the date c. The original wooden case measures 10 3/4″ by 3 7/8″ by 17, and weighs between 16-17 lbs. The handle is missing from the case. There’s an old sticker on the front; some of it peeled away. A very interesting set. Please enlarge all photo’s for best details. Vintage Medical Vaginal Ob/Gynecology Instrument Surgical. So, yeah if you are woman this one Exam or appointment hate see this tool. Not sure if what the name of tools. This one is little Unique and interesting. Shows sign of wear from age and used. Rust on the bottom where tool expands in middle maybe could be clean off easy? No Maker name on both. Some of chrome rub off in spots. Low oxidation rub off some you can see in pictures. Great addition to any Collection of Oddities, Display, Art, Photography and for Movie making. Gift to Doctor or Dentist. Discount is different for each order. Please, take the time to look over pictures for an accurate description. There are a total of 8 objects that have handles with round heads. The heads are various sizes and appear to have a sort of blade. Most are marked with the word Mira and what I assume may be a size such as AA, 4A, AC, B, etc… One handle does have a bit more writing on it and reads “Mira 6400A-12, Dia: 2″, Size: AA. There is an additional similar shaped piece – handle with a round head that seems to have 2 “blade-like” pieces, although I think it would have originally had 3. All 9 of these items come with cotton type cloth coverings for the heads as shown. There are 3 additional pieces. I have no idea what these are called, but the one that is sort of like a file/scraper appears to be marked with the words German Stainless. Huge lot of vintage medical / surgical equipment. Came from and estate and believe it is mostly circa 1950s – 60s. Some real oddities here. Don’t know much about this type of stuff so let the pictures do the talking. All seems to be very high quality. Speculums, dilators, and all kinds of unusual things and some run of the mill.
