Vintage Large Pyrex Vacuum Chamber / Degassing Pot – 4 Quart Capacity. One Gallon of liquid will fill the pot to about 2 inches of the top rim. All very heavy thick walled Pyrex Glass with a ground top lid and vacuum port and valve assembly. The top of the lid handle is a finely Ground Glass Valve with the attached Vacuum Port, It can be turned right or left to open or close the Vacuum Port Fitting. There is a chip on the back of the top rim and some other chips throughout but they are just cosmetic and do no affect the operation of a vacuum or lid sealing. The pot and lid weigh 12.5 pounds. For sale is a vintage 1940-50s? Distillation glassware chemistry set. Great collector’s item or for use in the lab! The pieces are in near pristine condition. The wooden box shows wear on the outside. Includes all glassware plus two heating mantles with power cords, two mercury thermometers, and four glass stopcocks, as pictured. Each piece is held in place within the box by metal clips, except for the four stopcocks and power cords. Next to each piece is a sticker with an ID number and size e. The box measures approximately 26″ x 19″ x 5 on the outside. The only identifying mark is on a tag on the outside that says Metro Industries, L. The air compressor is working, however, it’s not possible to see if the respirator is working – needs a ballon or similar to test. The hoses need to be sterilized. It maybe needs light maintenance or to sterilize inside the equipment. It’s not intended to use in people, it’s a museum piece or a collectible item. Perhaps could be usable in animals. We are not responsible if you try to use this in people or without a licensed professional. Comes with travel case, and the keys to lock it, and the air compressor plus instructions manual.
