For sale is a vintage, or possibly antique, Optikon Wetzlar 4359 Microscope. This piece comes with the original wooden dovetailed locking carrying case, which has 2 pull out lab tube drawers inside. The key works great easily locking and unlocking. Also you can have the working vintage light too (pictured in first two pictures). I highly doubt this originally came with the microscope, but it was inside of the case when I opened it, and I have no need for it… This microscope itself appears to either be rare or scarce, as there is really no information I could find regarding this model. Nor could I really find anything similar to this piece when researching Optikon online. Maybe it is made after 1990?? It doesn’t look like it, and the home this piece came from was full of antiques and older pieces. In fact, the original owners I bought this piece from were once both doctors (now retired), and their parents were doctors too…. She was a pathologist and he was a pediatrician. (they had a story about everything I bought, in which they personally used or did something with). This microscope comes with 4 attached lenses/objectives. They read Kohler Wetzler Germany on them, and the numbers/letters on the sides are as follows. OEL 100/1.30. 45:1 Ap. 10:1 Ap. 5:1 Ap. The microscope is adjustable both leaning back, and the eyepiece raises up and down. The eyepiece is marked Weitfeld 10X. From my point of view this piece looks to be in very nice vintage condition. I do not see why it would not work just how it should. Maybe a little adjusting here and there? A little bit of minor cleaning might possibly be needed, or a little bit of very minor wear found in a place or two. If you are looking to display this piece, the. Mattern Chicago X-ray Machine Model # V. 0.30 or V. R-0-30 made by F. This was their old x-ray machine at their office when his dad used to run the place but had sat in storage for many years now but they decided to sell the place so they needed to get rid of all of their stuff they had stored in the basement at their office. This would make for a great display piece somewhere or would be a very cool steampunk piece. I do not know anything about it. It is untested I have not plugged it in but if you want me to I can try and see what happens but would prefer not doing so. Condition & Important Information. Overall everything is in very nice condition with the exception of some flaws here and there. Like I said mechanically I have no idea if it works or how it works. The cords all look very nice. Unfortunately 1 of the 2 round glass pieces that go over the readings accidentally broke which would be the one on the left hand side (see picture #8). The 1 piece with the dial and electric tape was working for me but that is the only thing I tried. Other than the glass being broke on the 1 side the rest of this machine is in amazing condition. You may find some minor imperfections here and there but overall it is pretty immaculate.
