NIKON MICROSCOPE with objectives Nippon Kogaku with the original Light with power source. Nice older microscope, great for that curious child or student that is in need of one. I turned the light on and put a blade of grass. You could see the veins nicely. Not at all sure what all the knobs do since I have not touched a microscope since High School 38 years ago so Im sure that someone that knows what they are doing can make it more clear. The key is missing to the door. A previous owner put tape. Did not want to remove the tape and hurt the wood. The new owner can do that. All pictured is included. Not sure what that extra tray is for but Im sure you do. It has a sticker that it was tested in 1998… Which is better than nothing. Some minor cosmetic flaws but nothing that hurts the performance of the scope. There are handful of these out on the open market.. 95% of them do NOT have the light and if they do it doesnt work… This one works just FINE! It has 4 Nikon Lenses. HI 100 1.25. 40 0.65 – 0.17. This is a used item of considerable vintage, and it shows wear. The base is heavily scuffed, and the unit exhibits scratches, dents and oxidation in various places throughout. There is an area on the top of the spring mechanism case that has broken off. Aside from some cosmetic flaws, this is a terrific lighting unit. The dish is rather nice considering the age. It rolls well, the arm articulations work well with proper tension, and the unit is very stable. The pole height adjusts with assisted force just as it should. This particular Wilmot Castle Model 52 features the stabilized base, which makes it virtually impossible to tip over unintentionally. The base likely weighs over 100 lbs. And it is 2-feet in diameter. This is a huge improvement over the 4-legged version. The weight of the lighting unit alone is 150 lbs. (most of the weight exists in the base).
