FEATURES AND CONDITION DETAILS… The instruments are stainless steel, and the carry case is tin plate over copper. You can see the copper showing through in a few spots from normal wear. The rubber parts have total age loss (evidence that it is roughly 100 years old), so this kit’s value is for historical purposes only. This particular cautery kit is extremely rare; it may be the only surviving example of its series. There is no maker’s mark. There are a total of 8 objects that have handles with round heads. The heads are various sizes and appear to have a sort of blade. Most are marked with the word Mira and what I assume may be a size such as AA, 4A, AC, B, etc… One handle does have a bit more writing on it and reads “Mira 6400A-12, Dia: 2″, Size: AA. There is an additional similar shaped piece – handle with a round head that seems to have 2 “blade-like” pieces, although I think it would have originally had 3. All 9 of these items come with cotton type cloth coverings for the heads as shown. There are 3 additional pieces. I have no idea what these are called, but the one that is sort of like a file/scraper appears to be marked with the words German Stainless.
